Deepak Chopra has a new book, The Third Jesus.

It is sure to provoke controversy among those who have conventional religious views, but will raise consciousness among those who truly want to know just what Jesus would do. Over at Liberalland, where they have been kind enough to mention Healed Planet occasionally, there is a good Chopra post.

Healing Karma

That's the goal of a charity called Jalie's Butterflies is doing. They have something called the Vick House Project, where they'd like to raise enough money to buy Michael Vick's House and turn it into a shelter for abused and mistreated dogs. Talk about doing all one can to take a heinous situation and doing all one can to reverse course. Healed Planet hopes they succeed, but even if they don't monies raised go to the ASPCA.

Do We Really Have A Say In Our Future?

Now there is an air of destiny surrounding Barack Obama. Is our future sealed by the destiny of certain individuals, having nothing to do with stances on positions, or even the voting process? Can we have any effect on outcomes of events such as electons? Let's not forget that even though Al Gore won the popular vote, he did not become president because other forces were at play. Is our future pre-ordained, then, and how can the future be changed?
